Giles Ward has been collaborating with renowned seafood chef Duncan Ray and his restaurant The Little Fish Market in Hove for the past eighteen months. The Little Fish Market has recently been voted by Harden’s Restaurant Guide as the UK’s best seafood restaurant. It has also been voted number 15 in the UK’s top restaurants. The Guide is quoted as saying “Duncan Ray is one of the UK’s best but relatively unsung chefs.” This is no surprise to guests of the restaurant who have been enjoying his amazing ingredient-led, fish-focused cuisine since 2013.
Giles’ paintings of fish and sea life adorn the walls of the restaurant and bring a colourful flair to the restaurant’s uncomplicated and stylish interior. The marriage of fine cuisine and fine art is as old as time itself. The worlds of the paint palette and the chef’s pan are never far from each other. Both artist and chef are inspired by the world about them to explore and create. Giles Ward has become renowned for his distinctive and experimental interpretation of the natural world beyond our shores. It is natural that this passion is shared with many of the country’s finest seafood chefs.
Giles has created a strictly limited edition print in conjunction with The Little Fish Market.
