Mevagissey is an iconic Cornish fishing village: The attractive old town was once the centre of Cornwall’s pilchard fishery and it still boasts a working harbour with small fishing boats lining up against the wall. Narrow streets and steep valley sides lead down to the centre of old Mevagissey and its distinctive twin harbour. It is the perfect location for Whistlefish’s latest gallery. Located on the site of the old Lloyds bank, this new gallery features beautiful cards, gorgeous wrap, desirable gifts and fabulous art.
To launch there is a wide display of Giles’ fish art on show including art prints of the popular Mackerel, Shrimp and Sardines, as well as two new large art prints of ‘Ten Sprats’ and ‘Rainbow Trout’.
With it’s historic fishing past Mevagissey is a fitting setting for Giles’ sea and fish inspired painting.
