The short story collection ‘About Time’ has been resigned to the ‘thought-it-was-a-good-idea-at-the-time-but-now-realise-maybe-it-wasn’t’ pile of dead ideas in the literary sky. So long, farewell aborted brain-baby©. If you are really interested, below is the original outline.

About Time

About Time by Giles Ward

Currently a work in progress About Time is a series of short tales that at first appear disconnected yet over time reveal themselves to link together a wonderful cast of neurotic, playful, miserable, yearning characters.

Stitched together by the unrelenting passing of time, these tales weave together the lives of various characters and their stories one after another, month by month. Starting with the tale of George and his neighbours’ impending sun-stealing extension, we follow the frustrations, passions and longings in people’s lives that spin through time.

The working titles for the stories so far are:

  1. Last of the Fool
  1. Love. Lasts
  1. Pause
  1. Thank You For The Lovely Stay
  1. Good for the Garden
  1. Larry Is NOT at His Best
  1. One Night in July

to be completed
